Luis McDougall -
is our head instructor. He holds a 6th Dan (black belt) and has 40 years of Tae Kwon-Do training and teaching. He participated in the 1983 Tae Kwon-Do World Championship in Copenhagen, Denmark, where he was ranked 10th worldwide. Two years later, he became Pan-American Champion after winning the International Tae Kwon-Do Federation’s regional tournament in Guatemala. He also served as Olympic coach at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico in 1985-1986. He has a degree in Computer Science with experience as a Software Engineer for various private companies as well as the US Navy.

Jon Paul Smyth -
He has been a personal fitness trainer on Aquidneck Island and a competitive natural bodybuilder for 14 years. In 1999, he received his status as a Professional Natural Bodybuilder from the National Gym Association. He has also been a fitness columnist for the Newport Daily News and the North Kingston power-lifting coach for the Special Olympics. Working with people with disabilities led him to develop a new forearm crutch for people with walking disabilities, which he produces through a company called Sidekicks, Inc. He has been dedicated to the practice of ITF Tae Kwon Do since 2001.
